Avez-vous signés la pétition contre le Berger Blanc ? Jeudi dernier quand j’avais vérifié avant de quitter Montréal, nous étions à 7 000+ signatures…j’y suis allé il y a une heure et le nombre de signature s’élève à plus de 30 000 ! La question demeure si les élus vont prendre quelques instants pour réfléchir aux contrats signés avec ce business cruel.

Found. We just spent most of the Easter weekend furniture pre-shopping. With the big move, we’ve decided it was about time we got furniture that we really liked. The main rule being “simplicity and functionality”…and somewhat pet-proof.

So we sat on over 50 sofas and chairs, checked out dining chairs, coffee tables and all sorts of neat items. Took tons of pictures and were more than once frustrated by useless sales personnel who weren’t paying attention to us. Egocentric ? Not really. When you think of it, we have a considerable budget to spend on new pieces that we want to love for a long time, so we’re ready to listen to them…and maybe hand over our money. Maybe our “young adult” looks were the problem ? Ironically, we had more trouble getting served in big box furniture stores where as in a fancy ass store like Maison Corbeil, we got great service and all our questions were answered. Go figure …

One item we did find was our living room chairs. Amazing reproductions of Eames’ wooden lounge chairs. I’ve always loved these chairs and I believe Judith has accepted that we get these just to make me happy and possibly shut me up…I’m not complaining at all ! So that’s one thing down…many more to go.

This week we’ll be taking care of the contractor, finalizing the mortgage with the bank I hope and calling movers for quotes. Busy week ahead !
